This song was released as a single on 27 April 1998. Vocals are by Elizabeth Fraser of the Cocteau Twins. The song, especially the instrumental portions at the beginning and the end, has been used in numerous TV programmes and movies. The bass drum beat, reminiscent of a heartbeat, was used in the opening theme of the U.S. medical television series House. It also featured as incident music in a 2001 episode of Coronation Street when Sarah Platt is chased and then again at the end. The song's music video featured a plastic fetus in the womb, singing the song. Recently watched this wonderful movie Masaan (2015). I am totally amazed by the movie and music given by Indian Ocean and specially by this song. When I searched this song on Internet I came to know that writer Varun Grover written this song from taking inspiration from a Ghazal Main jise odhta hoon bichata hoon  by well known poet Dushyant Kumar. The voice of Swanand Kirkire is just too good for this beautiful song and of-course when you watch this movie you will come to know why Varun has taken those two lines from Dushyant Kumar Ghazal. I hope you guys also enjoy this wonderful magic of Indian Ocean.

I am not a big fan of Remixes but some of them are really good. One of them is this remix done by Bally Sagoo of classic song Aaja Re O Mere Dilbar Aaja from Noorie movie of 1979. Model in this video is Maushmi Udeshi who is playing a ghost in this video and song sung by Gunjan. This remix became very popular in recent time and I enjoy both original and this. :)

This superhit film Anurodh (1977) of Rajesh Khanna was based on the 1963 Bengali film Deya Neya, produced by Girija Samanta and directed by Shakti Samanta. Music of the film was a huge success given by the duo Laxmikant Pyarelal. Pyarelal quoted in an interview "Rajesh Khanna had great interest in music and a terrific sense of melody too. His music is dominated by Pancham (R.D.Burman) and us and we accepted Shakti Samanta’s Anurodh only because Rajesh Khanna had had some misunderstanding with Pancham then and did not want to work with him." India's Jazz scene of the 60's came back with this album by genius Amit Trivedi. Every song of this album is just super awesome, even the instrumentals. This combo of director Anurag Kashyap and Musician Amit Trivedi always gives us treat musically and visually as well. I hope you guys remember the freshness in music of Dev D when it came out in 2009. The same kind of freshness is here in this album. Jazz is so back with this album in true manner.

In order to get the nectar of this song, one has to actually lead some busy life for a little bit. then the real essence and the core meaning of this poetry will not be a big deal to digest. otherwise it's not a song which will go down easily with everyone. This song of Gulzar saab is easily understandable by the migrant population who have spend time in small cities and villages and now working and living in big metro cities. The busy life of big cities gives us the nostalgia when we listen this song.  There are many versions of this song and I'm trying to post as many as I could find online. 

Kumar Sanu - Tera Mera Pyaar | तेरा मेरा प्यार | 2004

Used to listen this song like crazy when this was released. I love this video, however I have seen it many times but still I enjoy it every time I watch. Later, after success of LunchBox I realised this girl in video is Nirmat Kaur and model name is Bhanujeet. Voice of Kumar Sanu is super romantic and video of this song sync perfectly with lyrics.

This song is written by Singer of the song Ed Sheeran and Amy Wadge. The song became an instant hit for Ed Sheeran. It reached to number one position in November 2014 in UK. When you listen the song you can feel the love and that I guess is the reason for the success of this beautiful song.

On the funny side I believe Bill Gates got the idea of WINDOWS from this song probably.

Heard this album Surahi long back in 90's on Audio Cassettes and loved all Ghazals from this album. Vishal Goswami is son of veteran actor of Bollywood Manoj Kumar. I couldn't find the releasing year of this album but I believe its from between 1985 to 1988 because in the first Ghazal of this album legendary actor Raj Kapoor introduce him to audience and Raj Kapoor died in 1988. All Ghazals of this album recorded in front of live audience.

Papa Kehte Hain (1996) - Ghar Se Nikalte Hi | घर से निकलते ही | Udit Narayan

A song from 90's which became favourite of every teenager at that time. Lyrics by Javed Akhtar and melodious voice of Udit Narayan made this song memorable. The movie was not that good but almost every song of this movie was beautiful.

The film was based on the Bengali film 'Nishipadma' (1970). Rajesh Khanna reportedly saw Nishipadma 24 times before zeroing on the role of Anand Babu ! The thought-provoking song Chingaari Koi Bhadke written by Anand Bakshi and sung by Kishore Kumar from this film, is one of the highlights of this classic. The song topped at 5th position on year-end chart toppers list Binaca Geetmala annual list 1972.
