Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall | Album - The Wall (1982)

"Another Brick in the Wall" is the title of three songs set to variations of the same basic theme, on Pink Floyd's 1979 rock opera, The Wall, subtitled Part 1 (working title "Reminiscing"), Part 2 (working title "Education"), and Part 3 (working title "Drugs"). This is Lifted from "Pink Floyd The Wall" film, this video is actually comprised of two songs: "The Happiest Days Of Our Lives" and "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" This video became the official video of "Another Brick In The Wall Pt. 2" after the release of the film in 1982.

Oasis - Stand By Me | Be Here Now (1997)

This beautiful song has been written by lead guitarist, Noel Gallagher. Its from the band third studio album BE HERE NOW (1997). The title for the song likely comes from the song "Stand by Me", which was covered by the Gallaghers' idol John Lennon. (Read More : Click Here)

Pyaasa (1957) - Yeh duniya agar mil bhi jaaye to kya hain? | ये दुनियाँ अगर मिल भी जाये तो क्या हैं | Mohammad Rafi

In 2005, Pyaasa was rated as one of the 100 best films of all time by Time Magazine, which called it "the soulfully romantic of the lot." On the occasion of Valentine's Day 2011 Time magazine has declared it as one of the top 10 romantic movies of all time. Indiatimes Movies ranks the movie amongst the Top 25 Must See Bollywood Films. It is also surmised that the story is based on the life of film's lyricist Sahir Ludhianvi who had failed affair with poet and writer Amrita Pritam. The film was originally titled Pyaas (thirst), but Guru Dutt later changed it to Pyaasa to better describe the film.

Post Box 999 (1958) - O Neend Na Mujhko Aaye | ओ नींद न मुझको आए | Hemant Kumar | Lata Mangeskar

This timeless classic is from movie Post Box No. 999. Simple lyrics of this song written by P.L.Santoshi and music has been given by newcomer (at that time) Kalyanji-Anandji. The beautiful and sensuous presentation where two love birds can't sleep at night because they are in love and they are humming this song. Still at night when you see out of your window and start humming this song, you will get the emotion of this song.

Jagjit Singh - Der Lagi Aane Mein Tumko | देर लगी आने में तुमको | Album : Memorable Concert (1981)

Jagjit Singh is known for simplifying the Ghazal to mass audience. It was no longer necessary to listen to Jagjit Singh with a dictionary in hand; there was no Majrooh-like Hum hai mataae koochao-bazaar ki tarah in his verse, leaving you bewildered as to what the hell this “mataae koochao-bazaar” was. He largely selected to sing for those who wrote simple, everyday kind of lines that painted vivid pictures in your mind.

Jagjit Singh - Bazeeca-E-Atfal Hai Duniya Mere Aage | बाज़ीचा-ए-अत्फ़ाल है दुनिया मेरे आगे | Album - Mirza Ghalib (1988)

This wonderful Ghazal is from 'Mirza Ghalib', an Indian biographical television drama series written and produced by poet Gulzar saab. All the Ghzals in this TV series composed and sung by Jagjit Singh & Chitra Singh. It music has since been recognised as Jagjit Singh and Chitra Singh's magnum opus enjoying a cult following in the Indian subcontinent. In 1998, Jagjit Singh was awarded Sahitya Academy Award, a literary honor in India. He was awarded for popularizing the work of Mirza Ghalib.

Teesri Kasam (1966) - Sajan Re Jhooth Mat Bolo | सजन रे झूठ मत बोलो | Mukesh

This film was based on the short story Mare Gaye Gulfam by well known Hindi novelist Phanishwarnath Renu. Renu also wrote dialogues for the film. The screenplay was written by Nabendu Ghosh, who had previously written classics, Devdas (1955), Sujata (1959) and Bandini (1963) for Bimal Roy. The film won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film at the 14th National Film Awards.

Guns N' Roses - Sweet Child O' Mine | Album - Appetite for Destruction (1988)

This song topped the Billboard Hot 100 chart, when it was released in 1988 becoming the band's first and only number-one single in the U.S. This song placed #37 on Guitar World's list of the "100 Greatest Guitar Solos." It also came in at number three on Blender's 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born, and at #198 on Rolling Stone's The 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.

In case if you don't know this movie is a remake of a Bengali film Nishi Padma (1970) directed by Arabinda Mukherjee,  who wrote screenplay for both the films. This though provoking classical song of Bollywood is based on Raag Bhairavi. Interestingly, in the year 1971 R.D.Burman effectively and single-handedly ended Rafi's decade long reign as the top playback singer of the industry by giving superhit songs like 'Chingari Koi Bhadke', 'Kuch To Log Kahege', "Yeh Kya Hua' and song 'Yeh Shaam Mastani' & 'Pyaar Deewana Hota Hai' from movie Kati Patang (1970) to Kishore Kumar.

I have always been fan of smart use of whistle in songs, still my most favourite is 'Hum Hai Rahi Pyaar Ke' from Nau Do Gyarah. This new song by Ankit Tiwari from upcoming movie Roy (2015) grabbed my attention for smartly using whistle in this song. Lyrics of the song are also very beautiful and video of song which showing Ranbir Kapoor on stunning bike remembering her love and humming this song gives a nice touch to the song and ofcourse whistle on bike is always suits.

Top class music of Khayyam Saab and the golden voice of Asha Bhosle and the super acting of Rekha all together made this song so beautiful looks like we are in the same arena. The one more thing about this song which fascinates me is use of Urdu & Hindi words.  Its incomparably beautiful.

The song has been highly successful, peaking at number one in the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, and 19 other countries. It was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song but lost to "Let It Go" from Frozen. The music video for the song was nominated for Best Male Video and Video of the Year at the 2014 MTV Video Music Awards.
